What this article covers: How to set up the Accounting Standard page in BrizoConsol — enabling the accounting standard your group reports under and assigning accounts to its Equity, P&L, and Cash Flow classifications.

The Accounting Standard page controls which accounting standard is available alongside the Base view, and how accounts are classified for that standard in consolidated reports.

Go to Organisation Settings → Accounting Standard (under Reporting) from the left navigation. The page shows which organisation the settings apply to (Applies to: …). Accounting Standard is a Pro feature; on Standard subscriptions an upgrade prompt covers the page.

1. Enabled Standard

Choose one standard in the Enabled Standard dropdown. Base — the aggregation before any standard-specific tagged entries — is always available alongside it.

Standard When to use it
International Financial Reporting Standards
Australian Accounting Standards
United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
The local statutory standard for your jurisdiction

Once a standard is enabled, journal entries can be tagged with it and GAAP Journals appears under Adjustments — see Posting Journal Adjustments.

2. Account Classifications

Account Classifications assign each classification line of the enabled standard to one or more accounts. These classifications determine how accounts are grouped and presented in consolidated statements for that standard.

1
Choose the classification tabSelect Equity, P&L, or CF (Cash Flow). A warning icon on a tab means it still has unassigned classifications.
2
Check the standard tabThe tab below shows the standard you are configuring — your enabled standard.
3
Click Select accounts on each linePick one or more accounts in the picker (use Search by code or name). The selected accounts are listed on the line; lines with none show No account selected.
4
Click Save ChangesClassifications are not saved automatically — save before leaving the page.
