What this article covers: How to use BrizoConsol's Pulse — the four Pulse pages, how health scores work, drilling into detail, and customising your metrics view.

Pulse is BrizoConsol's real-time financial health hub. Select Pulse from the left navigation to access it. Rather than requiring you to open a full report, Pulse gives you an instant, actionable view of financial performance across four pages.

Page What it shows
Key Metrics Your most important KPIs — current month, YTD, target, variance, and progress
Cash Flow Analysis Waterfall chart with a health score and drill-down into cash movements
Receivables Aging summary by customer with a health score and invoice-level drill-down
Payables Payables days and unpaid bills with an automatically calculated health score

1. Key Metrics

The Key Metrics page displays the KPIs that matter most to your business. For each metric you can see:

Column What it shows
Current Month The metric value for the current reporting month
Year-to-Date Cumulative value from the start of the fiscal year to the current month
Target The target value set for this metric — set and adjusted using the edit icon
Variance The difference between the current value and target
Progress / Spotlight A visual indicator of performance relative to target

Use the edit icon to select which metrics to track, set or adjust targets, and reorder metrics for clarity.

💡 Tip: BrizoConsol includes a wide range of built-in KPIs. If you need something specific to your business, you can create a custom KPI by defining a formula — see Built-in KPIs Overview.

2. Cash Flow Analysis

The Cash Flow Analysis page shows a waterfall chart of cash movements for the period, together with a health score calculated from your selected cash flow KPIs.

  • The waterfall chart gives an instant overview of cash inflows, outflows, and net movement
  • Click into any bar on the chart to drill down — for example, click a fixed assets movement to see the underlying transactions driving the change
  • The health score updates automatically as new data syncs

3. Receivables

The Receivables page shows an aging summary by customer — how much is owed and how long it has been outstanding — together with a health score reflecting your receivables position.

  • Click on any customer to drill down into their individual invoices — see due dates, amounts, and days overdue
  • Use this page to identify overdue balances and prioritise collections before they age further

4. Payables

The Payables page shows your payables days and unpaid bills, with a health score calculated automatically from your payables KPIs.

  • Review what is outstanding and when payments are due
  • Use the drill-down to see individual bills by supplier

5. Health Scores

Every Pulse page includes a health score — a single number that summarises the financial health of that area based on the KPIs you have selected and their relative weightings.

Concept How it works
KPI selection Choose which KPIs contribute to the health score for each Pulse page
Weightings Adjust how much each KPI contributes to the overall score — for example, give cash flow more weight than payables days
Custom KPIs Create your own KPI formula if the built-in set does not cover a metric specific to your business

6. Comments & Collaboration

You can add comments to any metric in Pulse — useful for flagging an issue, explaining a variance, or leaving a note for a team member. Comments work the same way as in other parts of BrizoConsol.

🌟 Summary: Pulse is designed not just to display numbers but to help you actively manage financial health. Start with Key Metrics for your daily check-in, use Cash Flow Analysis at month-end, and monitor Receivables and Payables weekly to stay on top of working capital.
