What this article covers: How to create an Insight Package from a ready-made template or by duplicating an existing package, and how to show or hide packages in the sidebar.

Instead of building an Insight Package from scratch, you can start from a template or copy a package you already have, then customise its sections, reports, and commentary. These options are on the Custom Insight Packages page.

1. Template Start

1
Click Template StartThe Start From a Template dialog opens.
2
Pick a templateChoose one of the templates below.
3
Click Use This TemplateThe package is created and you can edit it like any other package.
Template Description
A monthly management pack with a cover, executive summary, revenue and profitability analysis, and the core financial statements. Portrait layout.
A board-ready pack combining executive insights, financial analysis, and consolidated statements. Landscape layout.

2. Duplicate Existing

Click Duplicate Existing, choose the package in the Existing insight package list, and click Duplicate Package. You can also click the duplicate icon on a package row to copy that package directly.

The copy keeps all sections and is named after the original with Copy added — for example Monthly Pack Copy. If that name is taken, a number is added (Monthly Pack Copy 2).

🛈 Free plan limits: Duplicating counts towards the Insight Package and section limits of the Free plan.

3. Showing or Hiding Packages in the Sidebar

Click the eye icon on a package row to show or hide that package in the Insight Packages sidebar. The same control is available for publications — see Publishing an Insight Package.
