What this article covers: How drill-down works in BrizoConsol dashboards — clicking through from a dashboard widget to account-level detail or a section breakdown, and what information is shown on each drill-down page.

Drill-down lets you move from a high-level dashboard figure to the underlying detail in one click. It is available on Table widgets and Combined widgets — anywhere financial rows are displayed with clickable values.

1. Drilling into an Account Row

In a dashboard table widget, account rows are shown with an underline on hover. Click the account name or its value to open the Account Drill-Down page.

The drill-down page shows the individual transactions or journals that make up that account's balance for the selected period — giving full visibility into what is driving the number. You can see the source entity, date, description, and amount for each line.

💡 Tip: The drill-down opens in the context of the current dashboard period. To see a different period, change the reporting month on the dashboard before clicking through.

2. Drilling into a Section or Formula Row

Section rows and formula rows (such as Gross Profit or Net Profit) are also clickable in table widgets. Clicking one opens the Section Detail page.

The Section Detail page shows:

Element What it shows

Trend chart A chart of the section total over time — giving a visual picture of how the figure has moved month by month.

Account breakdown A table of all accounts within the section, showing each account's contribution to the total for the selected period.

Period selector Change the period on the detail page to view a different month without returning to the dashboard.

3. Navigating Back

Use the back arrow or your browser's back button to return to the dashboard from any drill-down page. The dashboard returns to the same period and widget state you left.
