What this article covers: How to reconcile and verify Non-Controlling Interest (NCI) journals in BrizoConsol — reviewing system-generated NCI journals, adding and deleting manual NCI journals, and checking that each journal balances.

The NCI Reconcile / Verify page shows every NCI journal for a selected scenario and period — the journals the system generates automatically from your ownership records, and any manual NCI journals entered by users. Use it to confirm the NCI output before reporting.

1. Accessing the Page

Go to Ownership & Equity → NCI (under Settings) from the left navigation. The page is a Pro feature — on Standard subscriptions an Upgrade to Pro for NCI prompt covers the content.

The Settings button at the top right opens the NCI configuration page, where ownership records and NCI accounts are maintained. See NCI — Non-Controlling Interest.

2. Scenario and Period

Choose Actual, Forecast, or Budget in the Scenario selector, then choose the Period from the dropdown or use the Previous period / Next period arrows.

3. Auto NCI Journals

The Auto NCI Journals table lists the NCI journals generated by the system for the period, including the NCI share of profit or loss. The Source column shows System.

Column Description
The posting date of the journal.
The identifier of the journal entry.
The NCI journal type.
The group organisation the journal belongs to.

Click Show entries to expand the journal and see each line — account, description, debit, and credit. Click Hide entries to collapse it.
The delete icon. See section 5.

4. Manual NCI Journals

The Manual NCI Journals table lists NCI journals entered by users, with the same columns. To add one, click Add Manual NCI Journal:

1
Select a related subsidiaryNCI journals must be linked to a related subsidiary — the journal cannot be saved without one.
2

3
Add debit and credit linesSelect accounts from the group chart of accounts and enter the amounts. Recurring options are not available for NCI journals.
4

5. Deleting a Journal

Click the delete icon on a row and confirm in the Delete NCI Journal Entry dialog. The journal is permanently removed from reconciliation.

💡 Tip: A red Diff means the journal does not balance. Expand it with Show entries to find the line causing the difference.
