What this article covers: How to reset or permanently remove the demo companies that BrizoConsol creates when you first sign up, using the Manage Demo menu.

When you first log in, BrizoConsol can create a demo group pre-loaded with sample data so you can explore the product. Once you are ready to work with real data, you can either reset the demo back to its default state, or remove it permanently.

1. The DEMO Badge

While a demo organisation is active, a yellow DEMO badge appears in the top-right corner of the header next to the notification icons. This badge is visible across all pages as a reminder that you are working in demo data.

💡 Tip: Click the yellow DEMO badge at any time to open the Manage Demo dialog — you do not need to navigate to any settings page.

2. Manage Demo Options

Clicking the DEMO badge opens the Manage Demo dialog with two options:

Reset Demo Reversible
Regenerates all demo data and refreshes the demo companies back to their default state. Use this if you want to start the demo experience fresh — for example, after making changes during exploration that you want to undo.

To confirm: type reset demo in the confirmation field, then click Confirm Reset.
Remove Demo Permanent
Deletes all demo companies and their related demo data permanently. The DEMO badge disappears from the header and the demo group is completely removed from your account.

Use this when you are ready to set up your real organisation and no longer need the demo data.
⚠️ Remove Demo is permanent. Once demo companies are deleted there is no undo. If you want to keep any reference data, make a note of it before removing.

3. After Removing the Demo

Once the demo is removed, you are ready to set up your real organisation structure:

1 Add your real entities under Global Settings → Organisation Hierarchy — see Organisation Hierarchy
2 Connect each entity to its accounting system — see Connecting Your Accounting Software
3 Set up the Common COA and map accounts — see Common Chart of Accounts and Account Mapping
4 Complete the remaining setup — see First-Time Setup Checklist
