What this article covers: How to use the System Audit Trail in BrizoConsol — reviewing, filtering, and exporting a log of recorded financial changes across your organisation's subscription group.

The System Audit Trail provides a chronological log of all recorded financial changes across your consolidated group. Each event captures who made the change, what was changed, which organisation and period were affected, and what the change contained — giving you a complete record for review, reconciliation, and compliance purposes.

1. Accessing the Page

Go to Organisation Settings → System Audit Trail from the left navigation.

2. Audit Log Columns

Each row in the audit log represents one recorded financial event:

Column Description
Date and time the event was recorded (YYYY-MM-DD HH:mm, UTC).
The type of financial action — for example, journal posted, entry deleted, or period locked.
A plain-language description of what changed — the key details in one line.
The user who performed the action.
The entity within the group that the change relates to.
The financial period affected, displayed as Mon-YYYY.
The scenario context of the change — Actual, Forecast, or Budget.
The type and ID of the record changed — for example, the journal entry or elimination entry reference.
A JSON snippet showing the before/after values or full payload of the change, for detailed inspection.

3. Filtering the Log

Filter How it works
A dropdown of all recorded action types. Select one to show only events of that type.
A month selector. Shows only events affecting the selected period.
A text search that filters the visible log client-side — useful for finding events by user, organisation, or summary keyword.

Click Apply to run the Action and Period filters. Click Clear to reset all filters.

4. Exporting the Log

Click Export CSV to download the current filtered view as a CSV file. Apply filters first to get the exact records you need.
