What this article covers: How to use Elimination Review in BrizoConsol — reviewing and approving Method 4 elimination proposals and confirming residual treatments from Method 2 auto eliminations before they are posted to the consolidation.

Elimination Review is the approval queue for auto elimination entries that require human confirmation before posting. Two types of entries appear here: Method 4 proposals (prepared but not posted until approved) and Method 2 residuals (the difference between the two sides of a matched elimination, posted using the selected treatment and awaiting confirmation).

1. Accessing Elimination Review

Go to Adjustments → Elimination Review from the left navigation. All pending entries are listed with their organisation, account pairs, amount, and entry type. Entries remain here until they are approved or rejected.

2. Reviewing an Entry

Click the Review button on any pending entry to open the review dialog. The dialog shows the prepared journal entry — including the debit and credit lines, the organisations involved, and the amounts.

Method 4 proposal The prepared elimination entry awaiting approval. You can inspect and adjust the entry before posting. Dialog title: Review and Post Elimination.

Method 2 residual The residual difference from a posted auto elimination (FX difference, timing difference, or write-off) awaiting confirmation. Dialog title: Review Auto Elimination.

Make any adjustments needed, then click Confirm to post the entry. The entry is removed from the Elimination Review list once approved.

3. Rejecting an Entry

Click Reject review on any entry to discard the proposal or residual without posting. Use this when the underlying elimination rule needs to be corrected before the entry is re-prepared and re-submitted for review.

💡 Tip: If a Method 4 entry is regularly rejected, review the corresponding Auto Elimination rule — the account pair, method, or tolerance setting may need adjustment. See Auto Eliminations.
