What this article covers: Managing intercompany types in BrizoConsol — enabling system modules, adding your own custom types, toggling them on or off, and arranging the Intercompany menu.

The Intercompany Types page shows every accounting treatment available to your group — both the built-in system modules and any custom types your team has created. Each type can be enabled or disabled with a toggle; a disabled type is hidden from the Intercompany menu for all users. The toggle saves immediately — there is no separate Save button.

🛈 Note: Changes made here apply to the entire consolidated group and affect all users. Other users see the updated Intercompany menu automatically after a page refresh.

1. Accessing the Page

Go to Settings → Global Settings → Intercompany Types from the left navigation.

2. System Modules

Ten optional system modules can be enabled or disabled. One additional module — Other Eliminations — is always active and cannot be turned off.

Module What it covers
Eliminate outstanding balances between group entities.
Eliminate internal goods sales, services and corresponding costs, regardless of payment.
Eliminate intercompany inventory sales and purchases.
Remove profit in inventory not yet sold outside the group.
Eliminate intercompany loans, interest, and funding balances.
Eliminate management fees and shared service charges.
Eliminate intercompany dividend income and distributions.
Eliminate gains and adjustments from fixed asset transfers.
Manual rental and lease adjustments supported by lease schedules, not invoices alone.
Eliminate other intercompany income and expenses.
Other Eliminations Always On Capture transactions that do not fit the standard categories. Always active and cannot be disabled.

3. Custom Intercompany Types

In addition to the system modules, you can create custom types that suit your group’s specific accounting treatments. Custom types appear alongside system modules in the table and can be enabled, disabled, and edited independently.

Click Add type at the bottom of the page to open the new-type dialog. Enter:

Field What to enter
A display name for this treatment (up to 120 characters). Shown in menus, tables, and reports.
Select the underlying system treatment this type maps to — for example, Sales / Purchases / Services or Intercompany Loans. This controls how entries are processed.

When editing an existing custom type, an additional Available for new entries checkbox is shown. Unchecking it hides the type from the “new entry” form so it cannot be selected for new transactions, while keeping it visible on historical records.

4. Enabling and Disabling

Click the toggle switch on any row to enable or disable that type. The change saves immediately — no Save button is needed. When a type is disabled, it is hidden from the Intercompany menu for all users in the group. Existing entries are not deleted; re-enabling the type restores visibility of all previously entered records.

The status badge on each row shows the current state: Enabled (teal), Disabled (grey), or Always on (for Other Eliminations, which cannot be toggled).

5. Filtering and Searching

The filter bar above the table lets you narrow the list:

Filter What it does
Show All kinds, System types only, or Custom types only.
Show All statuses, Enabled types only, or Disabled types only.
Free-text search across name and description.

6. Managing the Intercompany Menu

Click Manage menu at the bottom of the page to open the menu arrangement dialog. This lets you control the order and grouping of types in the Intercompany menu that users see when creating entries.

Drag any entry up or down to reorder it. To group related types together, drag an entry onto a group name — it moves inside that group. Groups themselves can also be reordered by dragging.

To manage groups:

Action How to do it
Type a name in the group name field and click Add group. The new group appears at the bottom of the list.
Click the group to select it, edit the name in the field, then click Rename group. Group names must be unique.
Select the group and click Remove group. Any entries inside the group move back to the top level. Groups cannot contain other groups.

Click Save menu when you are happy with the arrangement. The updated order takes effect immediately for all users.
