What this article covers: How to import and classify Xero tracking categories and QuickBooks classes in BrizoConsol, and how to load the P&L by Tracking Category or P&L by Class report for an entity.
For an individual entity connected to Xero or QuickBooks Online, BrizoConsol can import the entity’s reporting dimensions — tracking categories in Xero, classes in QuickBooks — and load the accounting system’s Profit and Loss report split by those dimensions.
1. Where to Find It
Select the entity in the organisation selector, then go to Organisation Settings → Data Loading. For supported entities you will see:
- A Review Tracking Category Setup button (Xero) or Review Class Setup button (QuickBooks) below the data load table.
- A P&L tracking (Xero) or P&L by class (QuickBooks) status column in the data load table.
- A P&L by Tracking Category or P&L by Class option in the Load Multiple Months dialog, next to GL, Invoices, and Bills.
2. Tracking Category / Class Setup
Click Review Tracking Category Setup (or Review Class Setup) to open the setup page. If nothing has been imported yet, click Import from Xero (or Import from QuickBooks). Use Refresh from Xero / Refresh from QuickBooks to re-import later.
Click Save Tracking Category Setup (or Save Class Setup) to store your choices. In QuickBooks, each top-level class is shown once, with its child classes listed underneath and treated as the options of that dimension.
3. P&L by Tracking Category / P&L by Class
Click View P&L by Tracking Category (or View P&L by Class) from the setup page:
To load the tracking P&L for several months at once, tick P&L by Tracking Category (or P&L by Class) in the Load Multiple Months dialog on the Data Loading page. The load status then appears in the P&L tracking column and on Month End Status.
