Follow a figure to the Zoho posting
When someone asks what is behind a group figure, you can answer from BrizoConsol. Click the figure, open a Zoho company’s row, and read the Zoho postings that made it — down to a journal’s debit and credit.
1Understand the trail
Group Travel Expenses for October 2026 is 9,089.39, and East Sdn Bhd’s part looks high. You will follow it to the Zoho entries behind it.
The first two levels work for every company. The Zoho postings need that month’s Transactions loaded for the company, which needs the additional Zoho access from Enable additional access.
2Open the drill panel
- Select Your Group, and open Reports → Profit & Loss for Oct-2026.
- Click the October amount on the Travel Expenses row.
The drill panel lists each company’s balance on the account. Its Data Type is zoho, and In Local is the amount in the company’s own currency — MYR 6,730.00 for East, translated at 3.3000 MYR per SGD to SGD 2,039.39.
3Read East’s Zoho postings
- Click East Sdn Bhd’s row — rows with postings behind them show a ▸ caret.
- Read the source rows: one for each Zoho entry that posted to the account in October.
| Source | The entry type, in Zoho’s own words — Expense, Bill, Journal, Customer Payment and so on. |
|---|---|
| Document | The entry’s number in Zoho. A journal shows as Journal 7. |
| Part | The description on the Zoho posting. |
| Amount | In East’s currency, MYR, as in Zoho. The rows add up to East’s In Local amount. |
Entries that cancel each other out are hidden; click Show N postings that offset each other to see them.
4Open the entry
| A journal | Click its number. It opens under the row with its number, date, notes, its Zoho journal ID, and each line’s account, description, debit and credit. |
|---|---|
| An expense | Opens in place with its lines. |
| A payment | Opens in place with the invoices or bills it settled, and any refund. |
| An invoice, bill or credit note | Its number is a link. Documents opens on it, with the contact, date, status and lines. |
In the example, Journal 7 is a month-end accrual for travel claims not yet submitted — 2,000.00 debited to Travelling and credited to Accrued Expenses. That explains why October is high.
Check
East’s source rows add up to its MYR 6,730.00 in the drill panel. If not, a red line under the table says how much of the movement isn’t reconciled to a document.
5Trace a balance sheet figure
On a balance sheet account the trail also shows where the month started and ended. Drilling East’s trade debtors for October shows:
Only the month’s postings are listed: the opening balance is where they start from. In a year-to-date view, the movement is YTD movement, and the rows run from the start of East’s fiscal year — so every month in that range needs its Transactions loaded.
6When the trail stops
If BrizoConsol can’t show the Zoho postings, a notice above the table says why, often with a button to fix it there and then:
| Transactions for Oct-2026 are not loaded… | Click Load Transactions in the notice. The postings appear when the load finishes. |
|---|---|
| Zoho transactions are not authorised on this connection… | Click Enable additional access, approve it in Zoho, then load Transactions. If you aren’t a data administrator, the notice says to ask one. |
| …loaded under a previous Zoho connection and no longer apply. | The company was reconnected after the load. Load the month’s Transactions again. |
| Source postings belong to one account, and this row is a group of them. | You drilled a total. Drill a single account’s amount. |
| Zoho postings explain the local Actual import only… | The report is on another scenario, such as Budget, or another accounting standard. Switch to Actual and the base standard. |
| Zoho accounting detail requires the Free, Pro or Premium edition. | Your group is on Standard. The trail stops at the drill panel. |
| …of the movement in the row above is not reconciled to a document here. | Part of the month’s movement has no posting in what was loaded. Reload the month with Transactions ticked. |
